This course will provide an evidence-based approach to the link between
abortion and breast cancer. The connection between this and other controversies
surrounding abortion will be addressed. An Introduction to Natural
Procreative Technology will also be presented, using the Creighton Model
of Fertility Care System (CrMS). The participants will explore the menstrual
and fertility cycles, identifying the corresponding biological health markers.

Angela Lanfranchi, MD FACS, Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery
at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Co-founder and Vice President of
the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute.
A breast cancer surgeon practicing in New Jersey since 1984 and author
of articles on the physiology and epidemiology of abortion breast link published
by the National Catholic Bioethics Center, the Institute for Anthropologic
Medicine and Bioethics, and other journals. Co-authored a booklet on Breast
Cancer Risks and Prevention and written brochures on reproductive and hormonal
risk factors. Over the past seven years she has traveled nationally and internationally
speaking at medical schools, hospitals, universities, cancer organizations,
governmental bodies and the United Nations about breast cancer risks, including
its association with induced abortion and hormonal contraceptives. She is collaborating
with other breast cancer researchers on projects to determine the genetic changes
and reproductive risk factors involved in the etiology of proliferative breast
disease and cancer.
Dolores Moreno, Certified Fertility Care Practitioner (CFCP) Active Member of The American Academy of Fertility Care Professionals, Fertility Care Centers of America, and California Assoc. of Natural Family Planning, currently practicing at O’Connor Hospital, San Jose, CA. Certified through Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction in affiliation with Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, she has taught over 2,024 couples in the use of the Ovulation Method Creighton Model.
